Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to launch the Digital Land record of Islamabad to avoid the record deformation and tempering of documents. PM’s vision is to digitalize the land record system so that evident construction monitoring can be made. Officials will launch Islamabad’s Digital Map very soon so that the land mafia and their false claims can be traced and stopped.
The 1st phase of this project will include the digitization of revenue records of 3 major cities of Pakistan; Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. This is a transformational change by Prime Minister Imran Khan to change the old record-keeping of land in Pakistan once and for all, people will be able to identify and verify ownership of plots without any doubt. All the information will be on the system and can be accessed without waiting in long queues.
It is being reported that there are numerous land mafia goons out there in the country making huge amounts of money through ill legal practices and damaging the rights of real owners. Almost, 400 billion rupees’ worth of land has been captured by degenerated land mafia only in the Capital territory of Islamabad and almost 1 thousand acres of forest land encroached. PM emphasized that large-scale encroachment on government lands needed to be freed. Imran Khan is ambitious to free these encroached lands as soon as possible, and bashed upon the previously maintained land dealership and record-keeping system for not even projecting real stats.
Apparently, this new initiative could attract foreign investment in the country said; Imran Khan, Law Enforcement in Pakistan is needed to be taken seriously and this will bring a radical change in our system and society.
Pakistan has received a massive amount of remittance from Overseas Pakistan, this could rise and further investment might come over if this new initiate is successfully executed.
Prime minister Imran Khan also mentioned that the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), is going to introduce a new system through which all the new and upcoming land projects can be seen with the help of just a click, declaring technology as the only medium that could defeat land grabbers.
