

Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan said that the inclusion of the Karachi Comprehensive Coastal Development Zone (KCCDZ) in the ongoing project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will take the entire project to a new height.
Imran Khan appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Marine Affairs for their initiative to save marine life and provide a clean habitat for fishermen, the KCCDZ inclusion marks affordable housing units nearby and generating employment opportunities for people. Prime Minister added “Inclusion of Karachi Comprehensive Coastal Development Zone (KCCDZ) in CPEC is a game-changer. Will clean up our marine habitat for fishermen, develop 20k low-income housing units & present opportunities for investors. Will put Khi (Karachi) at par with developed port cities.”
Fortunately, both Pakistan and China have agreed to include Karachi Coastal Comprehensive Development Zone (KCCDZ) in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
The Karachi Coastal Comprehensive Development Zone (KCCDZ) is a multi-billion dollar unique and distinctive project, the inclusion in CPEC will elevate Karachi Port to an ultra-modern urban infrastructure, which would nominate Karachi in the world’s top port cities in the world. This project will cost around 3.5 billion USD and would be developed on Chinese investment incorporation with Karachi Port Trust.
This game-changing project will help in boosting Pakistan’s Blue Economy and also the industrial development between both countries. The project predicts four new sites for KPT and will give Pakistan’s Blue Economy a significant elevation and would promote good relations between the two countries.
In support of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision to build low-cost residential houses, Under PM Imran Khan’s vision for promoting low-cost housing, Karachi Comprehensive Coastal Development Zone inclusion in China Pakistan Economic Corridor will also provide residential resettlement to more than 20,000 families living in the surrounding slums.
The mega Karachi Comprehensive Coastal Development Zone inclusion to China Pakistan Economic Corridor opens new trade opportunities for Pakistan by expanding the marine sector. It would also house a state-of-the-art fishing port, with a world-class fisheries export processing zone to boost Pakistan’s trade potential. It will improve the Karachi marine ecosystem and reduce pollution by establishing a water treatment plant close to the Lyari River.
Karachi Comprehensive Coastal Development Zone would connect with the rest of city Karachi through a harbor bridge rising from Pakistan’s Deepwater Port. Karachi Comprehensive Coastal Development Zone also has great potential for investors worldwide.
The Sindh Governor Imran Ismail added that Prime Minister Imran Khan is coming to Karachi on Monday and he would attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Karachi Circular Railway.
Governor said that “much good news coming for Karachi.”
Governor Imran Ismail announced that Greenline bus service infrastructure is completed, all the buses are ready to be tested for a dry run in the coming 10 days. He said that “Greenline service would be inaugurated next month and soon after that K-VI project would be inaugurated”. He further said that “K-VI would be completed to meet water shortage in the city.”
Finally, the city of Karachi is well heard by the government, as the governor promised that Karachi would be clean by the end of October 2021. Pakistan is excelling towards progress and the government is playing a significant role in the execution of these mega projects to make economic growth and development for a prosperous future of the Country.
